Domain Name Service Scam!

by | Mar 15, 2025 | News, Reviews, Scams

The company running Domain Name Service solicitations operate by monitoring publicly available WHOIS records to gather domain owner information. They then send official-looking notices, often resembling invoices, that inform recipients their domain is expiring soon. These notices are designed to create urgency, encouraging domain owners to make a quick payment. However, rather than a straightforward renewal, these companies are offering to transfer the domain registration to their service—often at a higher cost than traditional registrars. While not necessarily fraudulent, their approach is misleading, as many recipients believe they are required to pay to maintain their website, when in reality, they are not obligated to switch providers.

This seems pretty urgent. OPEN IMMEDIATELY!

These domain name solicitations are not technically scams, but they rely on misleading tactics to trick website owners into transferring their domains unnecessarily. Always verify renewal information with your actual registrar before making any payments. When in doubt, do your research or contact me directly.
